It’s been a wild year! We worked non stop through Covid and Xmas! We consider ourselves extremely lucky as many vendors in the wedding industry are only just getting back into the swing of things after a year “off”

Although I’m grateful, I’m mentally exhausted 🙈 This past year was draining for couples and vendors. High anxiety, countless postponements, border issues and countless disappointing twists and turns along the way.

On top of this, I was suffering from chronic pain, ER trips and surgeries. I found out I have a bladder and uterus disease 😩 I’m okay... I’m on the path to healing and my *new normal*... day by day. I had surgery 2 x weeks ago to heal my bladder lining - I’m feeling heaps better!

I was a 2020 Bride - I totally “get it”. My hubby-to-be is Irish so half our guest list was suppose to travel here for an incredible wedding and holiday! We are up to our 5th wedding date 🤦‍♀️ Been together 9yrs, blended family, mortgage, the works Lol

When I say “I get it”, I truly do ✨

I took the opportunity inbetween weddings to escape with my fam-bam to Airlie Beach ☀️ Soak up the sun before winter (and May weddings!!!)

As a small business owner we feel guilty for taking time off. We need to set boundaries. We deserve 4 x weeks off each year like everyone else! We need to recharge so we can give YOU our 200%

This location is great for anyone with mobility issues or if you don’t like sand. You drive right to the ceremony spot and walk on grass.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Let’s celebrate Women who we admire and remember to tell them how much we adore, look up to and appreciate them ✨

I have surrounded myself with some seriously amazing Women but I’m going to single our @ceremoniesbyleisa!

Leisa and SJ - we matched but not on purpose 😂 🌸

@ceremoniesbyleisa and I were like a moth to a flame 😂 Like minded Women conquering the challenges of business and babies!

Clients have said we have a similar disposition. We are hopelessly positive and optimistic. Never afraid to offer a Motherly hug, banter with the best of them and we both snort when we laugh at our own jokes 😂

I think that’s a fair wrap up?

What Im trying to say is, I couldn’t conquer the world of Elopements without my right hand chick @ceremoniesbyleisa ✨ I am very grateful we crossed paths!

KIDS 👉 I’ve had a few people ask “is it oka

KIDS 👉 I’ve had a few people ask “is it okay?” to include kids = ahhh YES!!! 👶

Well over 50% of our couples have kids. Some babies, some blended families and some have teenagers who don’t smile in photos 😂

We are the same! Most of our vendors are parents or have a blended family too. We totally get it!

I approach things from this perspective: How would I want my wedding day to be with my girls?

> I want it to be fun for them too! I don’t want stressed out or crying kids

> I want a vendor team who makes my kids feel comfortable and understand kids might be shy at first

> I want my photographer to be fun and make them smile

> If my girls were small I would want time work things around their naps

> I might want the traditional “Wedding” roles for them ie: Flowergirls walk down the isle

> As a blended family I would want something beautiful said during the ceremony to be all inclusive

> I would want just as many photos with my new partner as I have WITH our kids - because we are a family getting married!

Im a strong believer in letting kids do their thing. Let them play in the sand, find out their favourite show and use that to connect with them, pause if they need some space etc

We work WITH them. It takes the pressure off so you can be in the moment and have fond memories 🥰

We LOVE babes at our Elopements! The more the better! They are so adorable and do the cutest things... kids will always make everyone laugh and release any nerves 👶

“Planning a big wedding with the crazy lives we lead was stressful and chaotic! We didn't want to elope because we didn't want to miss out on all the little extra's that make your day special and still have our nearest and dearest with us! We found the mission to find exactly what we were looking for was near impossible and we almost completely gave up...

That was until we found Luxe Elopements who changed our perceptions on 'weddings' and gave us hope that we can have all that we want - on the scale we want. A huge weight was lifted from our first consult with SJ - like she was an angel sent from above, we immediately felt our wedding plans were no longer a dreaded thought but something we could actually look forward to (the way it should be).

SJ made the whole experience so much easier even with all our last minuet changes; our sunset elopement was perfectly us. Being an elopement meant we didn't have everyone at our wedding so it was a very pleasant surprise to receive some sneak peak images that we could share some beautiful moments with our friends and family right after our day.

We are so looking forward to receiving the rest and spamming them even more :-)

STRICTLY Mon-Thurs bookings and only up to 20 x people.

This gorgeous wedding was at @pavilion2atbrokenhead which is on the beach at Broken Head! We highly recommend Broken as it is away from tourists, private and epic headland for portraits!
