I think kids are my favourite thing to capture at our Luxe Elopements 🙈 At least 50% of our couples have kids!
I’m the same… nearly 10yrs together, 2 x kids, engaged for 3+yrs and still not married yet – and I’m a wedding pro! 🤣🤣🤣 I get it!
I always think “What would I like?” – I want photos WITH my kids! We are a family ✨ I think they are just as important (if not more) than newlywed portraits!
Granted you get a 15min window to capture them and they probably won’t stick around for sunset 🙈
I will play games with them, jump, spin, dance and talk Bluey/Emma wiggle or Peppa pig 🤣
Jill + Elian got married on Belongil beach in Byron Bay where they met 10yrs ago and got engaged!! Pretty special 😍

Choosing our Barfoot Collection elopement package Kailee and Corey had everything sorted for their elopement, except a location! They were forced to go on the hunt for a new location after the venue they had booked was damaged by a storm. Luckily, Byron Bay offers some beautiful locations, from the hinterland to the beach, that provide the perfect spot for a wedding ceremony.
Kailee and Corey found a magical private property to hold their ceremony, under a stunning old Figtree. A traditional elopement, with no guests, just a whole lot of love. These two are soooo in looooove! The magic continued with the most amazing handwritten vows I’ve ever hear (and I’ve heard a few).
Upgrading their package to include videography and a private chef we all drove along Coolamon Scenic Drive on Hinterland Way, a short 5-minute drive, to capture some post ceremony portraits in an overgrown field. Before letting Kailee and Corey head back to their accommodation for a delicious dinner.

What we love most about Byron Bay is that it is such a versatile location for an elopement. Not all of our couples want to have a beach wedding or get married in Byron Bay for that matter. Sarah and Ponsy eloped at Friday Hut Road Estate, owned by professional surfer Matt Wilkinson. Just 15 minutes from the beaches of Byron Bay, Friday Hut Road Estate is a stunning hinterland property, because this venue located just outside of Byron Bay it meant we could avoid some of the strict Byron council guidelines for outdoor weddings and have a more relaxed hinterland wedding. This luxurious venue has a beautiful natural archway which perfectly frames the natural timer arbour providing the perfect location for a ceremony.
A real family affair Sarah and Ponsy’s mums cooked all day at the accommodation to make dinner for the reception, while the kids swam in the pool. During the ceremony we live streamed with New Zealand so Ponsy’s family could be a part of the celebration.
Upgrading the Barfoot package to include hair and make for mum, Sarah’s sisters and some of the guests, as well as including videography. Being in the hinterland we captured some gorgeous portraits of Sarah and Ponsy in the dappled light through the trees down by a river located on the property as well as some fun shots in the rustic cabana by the pool which suited Sarah’s traditional bouquet of roses and greenery and stunning dress with lace details.

Childhood sweethearts Eliza and Kamren met at the local corner shop. As couple who enjoy the outdoors, they chose the perfect location for their Tweed Coast Wedding on the beach at Broken Head. Booking our popular “Micro Wedding” Package which allows couples to create a luxury wedding for up to 40 guests and gives them access to our entire team of vendors.
Choosing to stay at our partnered private property Pavillions 2 @ Broken Head. A short distance to their styled ceremony location at Broken head beach. While Eliza and Kamren’s guests stayed at Broken Head Holiday Park located right at the entrance to the beach.
This Luxe ceremony was such a fun family affair with close family and friends in attendance, it was one of our largest post-COVID weddings to date. We captured some fun family shots with Eliza and Kamren’s three children playing and having fun in front of the camera.
We love it when our whole Team are involved in a wedding! Eliza and Kamren upgraded their package to include: a live musician for the ceremony and reception, videographer, hair and makeup for all the ladies, ceremony styling which included reception table and kids area on the grass, and las but not least a gorgeous wedding cake!

ABOUT THE DAY / STYLING CHOICES / WEATHER / MOMENTS
We arrived at Ha’veli House Monday afternoon; from the start we loved being around Jenny and Matt who were warm, kind and down to earth people.
They chose to elope as a couple only, it was very intimate and special. Their theme was pure elegance; it matched them perfectly! Both held an air of grace, and class. We could feel we were in for something very special!
Jenny wore a stunning backless dress with intricate detail. It was flattering and undeniably elegant all at once, her bouquet was made of the most gorgeous white orchards and again, followed their elegant style so perfectly.
ABOUT THE LOCATION / VENUE
The ceremony was held where they got ready – Haveli House. This house was so incredible. Residing just outside the heart of Bangalow it held a Balinese/Indian luxe cottage vibe. Every section, corner, and nook was filled with amazing styling. It was a dream to photograph here! And so hidden from the road you would never know it was there!
Next, we travelled about 10 minutes out of Bangalow to Villa Rustica, a Moroccan styled house where we began sunset portraits.
The rustic villa was beyond gorgeous; we fell in love with its courtyard and swimming pool. We were surrounded by lush tropical gardens and with this beautiful setting we were able to capture some striking images of the newlyweds. Their style mixed with this elegant villa was HEAVEN! The most perfect combination and we couldn’t have loved it more!
ABOUT THE COUPLE
Jenny and Matthew met through work, they formed a friendship initially for about a year before deciding to become a couple. They spent 8 hours within the office together and from the beginning their chemistry was very comfortable!
On their first “date” they went LARGE! No dinners, or coffees – Instead they went straight to Mexico together and dived in the deep end, without telling soul! Things went so well over in Mexico that a few months later they moved to New York, then Australia.
They believe by jumping into the deep end they revealed parts of each other and they became to know one another incredible quickly and deeply. 6 years later, they know that marrying each other is exactly the right thing to do. This love is solid!
