Byron Bay is the top wedding destination in Australia – we are not surprised! We are a little bias as locals. We have been servicing luxury weddings in the Byron coastline and hinterlands for 10 years.
There are 3 x options if you want to elope or have a micro wedding in Byron Bay:
Most of our couples book an Airbnb for their accommodation, have a beach ceremony followed by dinner in a local rest/bar.
Luxe Elopements packages are focus on your ceremony with all of your vendors – Celebrant, Photographer, Flowers etc. If you choose a council approved beach, garden or hinterland you can expect council permits to range $0-$400. We handle the paperwork for council permits.
If you choose an Airbnb or Venue you will book directly with them. We handle the coordination 6 weeks out from your wedding.
Broken Headland is our favourite location. A little secret gem tucked away from tourists. You can drive right up to the entrance. Walk down the white sand with your ceremony setup with the ocean and Byron Lighthouse background. The Broken Headland to the right. Our favourite location for sunset portraits if you are up for an adventure!

Belongil Beach is in the heart of Byron Bay near Elements Resort. You have the option of sand between your toes or your ceremony on the grass. You can expect the Lighthouse and Julian Rocks in the background of your beach ceremony. Sunset falls behind the black rocks and lights up train tracks for beautiful portraits. Tip: great access for a Kombi AND it’s a dog beach so bring your fur babies!

Wategos Beach is one of Byron Bay’s most iconic beaches. It is underneath The Lighthouse – the most Easterly point in Australia! You can have a beach ceremony at Wategos or grass ceremony at the Lighthouse. Please be aware both locations are heavy with tourists with very limited parking. We recommend organising transport. Why not a SUNRISE elopement? No tourists ;P
