Christina and Byron met each other at school after a friend introduced them, their first official date, at 14 (awwww) was at a local park. Now 10 years on the couple have two beautiful children together and one on the way.
Initially booking a Byron Bay wedding, but with Byron opening up around the same time all the accommodation was booked. So the couple elected to book an Airbnb in near by Murwillumbah along the river and an easy 15 minute drive to Cabarita Cove.
Cabarita Cove is a small, picturesque bay located nearby to Australia’s number one rated beach Cabarita. The Cove is one of our favourite places to hold an elopement or wedding ceremony. Electing to get married with just them and their two children, the ceremony was nestled on Cabarita Cove Beach with the Panama trees and the headland providing natural privacy and a beautiful backdrop to the celebration.
After the ceremony and some shots on the beach we meandered along the easy walk (even for the children) to the Caba headland. The Golden Light from the Headland to take in the spectacular views a combinations that creates magical portraits.

Locals to the Gold Coast area Lauri and Levi were looking for a simple Byron Bay elopement with just immediate family and their gorgeous little girl, Millie. The couple chose Signature Collection with styled ceremony package, and selected our newest property, Bramblewood on the Tweed Coast as the venue for their laidback wedding.
Located in the Tweed Valley this venue gives couples spectacular ocean views from Coolangatta all the way to Surfers Paradise! The rolling hills of this quintessential farm venue meant photography, done by yours truly, meant that we had quite the adventure getting photos and videography to capture the beautiful afternoon sun. Martin and I jumped in the back of Lauri and Levi’s car and we followed Bramblewood owner Daniel through cow paddocks and up to the top of the ridge for some epic sunset portraits.
Lauri and Levi’s first date was a picnic at Brunsweck Heads. Levi organised the date, but it turns out he didn’t really organise very much forgetting to bring a rug or any food or drinks. Instead getting fish and chips and sitting on the grass to eat. The images from their wedding pay homage to their first date. Sitting on a log in a grassy field imagining their lives together.
Congratulations Lauri and Levi!

Caitlin wore a Cinderella inspired blue dress with to-die-for blue velvet heels! Her flowers, by @sevenbloomscasuarina, created a dramatic contrast using bright blooms in pink, peach and purples. Celebrant Leisa from @ceremoniesbyleisa ensured everyone was properly sanitised during the signing of the official paperwork, using a nearby rock as the official signing table. Anthony looking pretty happy with his new wife giving everyone the two thumbs up after signing.
As the sunset, Caitlin and Anthony added a personal touch to their wedding day photos Anthony brought his fishing rod along to use in some of the portraits as an inside joke with Caitlin, as he is always ‘Gone Fishing’. Personal touches like these are a fun addition to more traditional wedding images, especially when you have a beautiful backdrop such as those found in Byron Bay and the southern Gold Coast.

Blog coming soon ….
It rained, we had a break in the weather and delivered their dream beach ceremony at Cabarita Cove! A few days later we organised a re-shoot at Fingal headland for DRY newly-wed portraits 🙂
• Known each other from living in a small town. Went to school together and had mutual friends. • Started dating in 2006, bought house in 2009, engaged in 2014, first child in 2015, second child in 2018. • We have 2 boys, Jai 4 and Max nearly 2 and 1 dog, Oscar. • Like spending time together – try to get outdoors.
• Never wanted a big wedding • Ability to have a destination wedding on the beach • Great price
• We are from Mooroopna, Victoria • Beautiful weather • Combine wedding and holiday for us and the kids • Family close by in Coffs Harbour area
Loved it – pretty stress free 🙂
Seeing everyone waiting for us at the ceremony
If you want a “no stress” day, definitely consider eloping
SJ was awesome and helped me every step of the way. She gave great advice on ceremony locations and places for dinner afterwards. Whenever I felt unsure of something, she calmed me down and talked me through it 🙂 Also all of the vendors were amazing! Thanks so much! Would definitely recommend for anyone eloping xx
