Byron Bay, Tweed & Gold Coast. Luxe Elopements are for couples who want to express their love intimately, styled and effortlessly.
Brittany and Tom had planned on having a larger wedding, but like so many couples in 2020 they were forced to rethink their wedding plans (thanks COVID), ultimately deciding to elope to Broken Head in Northern New South Wales.
It is considered good luck to have rain on your wedding day and it rained during the day and in true Byron Bay style the heavens opens for Brittany and Tom’s ceremony. So, we’re sure they will have so much luck going into their married life. On the plus side the 90% cloud coverage created a natural “filter” with soft, flattering light for our photos.
After their ceremony, Brittany and Tom had decided to book a styled picnic from @klaras_house to enjoy together. James from @karuahmusic serenaded the newlyweds during their beachside picnic setting the mood for romantic break between the ceremony and photos.
James, who played melodies during the ceremony, kept the romantic mood going with his beautiful melodies playing softly on the breeze as we walked along the ‘Three Siters Track’ for the couple’s portraits. We love using the headland at the end of the track for our wedding portraits, the vistas are truly breathtaking. However, as this area is Aboriginal land we are unable to perform ceremonies here, but the portraits are always magical. While we didn’t get a Golden sunset, the soft light was spectacular on the beach and on the cliffs at the end of the ‘Three Sisters Track’.

Locals to the Gold Coast area Lauri and Levi were looking for a simple Byron Bay elopement with just immediate family and their gorgeous little girl, Millie. The couple chose Signature Collection with styled ceremony package, and selected our newest property, Bramblewood on the Tweed Coast as the venue for their laidback wedding.
Located in the Tweed Valley this venue gives couples spectacular ocean views from Coolangatta all the way to Surfers Paradise! The rolling hills of this quintessential farm venue meant photography, done by yours truly, meant that we had quite the adventure getting photos and videography to capture the beautiful afternoon sun. Martin and I jumped in the back of Lauri and Levi’s car and we followed Bramblewood owner Daniel through cow paddocks and up to the top of the ridge for some epic sunset portraits.
Lauri and Levi’s first date was a picnic at Brunsweck Heads. Levi organised the date, but it turns out he didn’t really organise very much forgetting to bring a rug or any food or drinks. Instead getting fish and chips and sitting on the grass to eat. The images from their wedding pay homage to their first date. Sitting on a log in a grassy field imagining their lives together.
Congratulations Lauri and Levi!

Every bit the modern couple Charisse and Robbie met online while on holiday in the Philippines. Meeting for the first time in person 4 months after connecting online! That first hug in the airport sealed the deal for both Charisse and Robbie. For three years Robbie and Charisse were in a long-distance relationship, communicating online and only seeing each other once every few months building a strong foundation for marriage.
Charisse and Robbie were able to share their Byron Bay Wedding with international family who weren’t able to travel via live stream. The couple were joined by small but lively group of friends who were able to share their joy on their wedding day. The guests were heaps of fun jumping and laughing, for our group photos after the ceremony.
The couple chose to elope in Byron Bay, the day was warm and windy with a storm rolling in as we meandered along the 750m long “Three Sisters Track” at Broken Head. A perfect location for truly breathtaking portraits. Sometimes the wind can be quite cool on the cliffs of Broken Head, but Charisse was prepared, bringing with her a handmade wedding jacket with “Just Married” on the back, a beautiful personal touch to their elopement.

Amanda and Rahul met through a friend who had organised a group of friends to do the colour run. Rahul ran up to Amanda and used Joey from Friends line “How you doin?” They chased each other all day, throwing paint and rolling downhills. The run lead to drinks and lunch at the pub and eventually, they looked around to find they were the only ones left, not wanting the day to end.
Eloping from Sydney on the morning of Amanda and Rahul’s wedding it looked like it would rain, but the weatherman promised we would see sunny skies in the afternoon. Typical Byron Bay weather and perfect for those elopement photos and videography. On the cliffs of Broken Head, we knew the clouds would be the perfect backdrop for some dramatic images!
While the sun didn’t make an appearance, Amanda looked beautiful in a traditional sari sent from her new Mother-in-law in India, the striking colour a stunning contrast to the natural beach colours. Amanda further included Rahul’s Indian background wearing traditional white henna on her hands.
Sharing their special day with two friends (thanks COVID) and our beautiful celebrant Leisa from @ceremoniesbyleisa, Amanda and Rahul upgraded their package to include flowers by @_pikt and our oh so popular Kombi from @byronlimokombi and videography by @yellowbullweddings.
We met in New York when I was travelling. We have been doing long distance however, I had moved there for a year and a bit to be together. We meet using Tinder. We had broken up for a couple month but found our way back together.
Neither of us like having too much attention. Small and intimate is more comforting.
Im from Brisbane and Jeff is from New York. We love Byron and decided this would be a good idea based on that.
incredible!
The first time I saw my husband, after getting my face ready/getting dressed.
If you’re thinking of it – do it! it’s cheap, it’s fun and so close and personal. We really loved it.
The process was really easy going – which is perfect for us, we never planning for anything big or too much to organize. Everyone on her Sarah-Jane’s team were so kind. We received the sneak peak photos recently and almost made me cry – they are beautiful!

Byron Bay isn’t just another beach town for Shannon and Eric, it hold symbolism. It was right here on the sands of Byron Bay that Eric dropped on one knee and asked Shannon to marry him. They came back to the same sands to get married.
Not only have these two found a best friend in life, they have found a soul mate. Their love was as clear as the bright blue skies above.
Two humans that were meant to collide in this lifetime.
E – “I remember the first time we met and how sure I was that you were that special one.”
S – “When I met you, I learned that sunshine could exist in a person.”
The day greeted us with high winds, we tucked around the corner of Belongil Beach to shelter as much as possible behind the big boulders that line the beachfront. They chose a barefoot elopement, which means no styling, and they were literally barefoot!!
Eric organised the elopement. Rarely, does the groom organise the entire elopement, however Shannon works overseas and so Eric being the true gentleman he is, did all the arranging for the two of them!
Shannon and Eric invited both of their families to join them on this magic day, a very warm and happy collection of human’s eagerly awaited Shannon’s arrival. She arrived in a Kombi, travelling from Wategos Airbnb – we love the idea of arriving in style and having a cute photo prop. And truly, when in Rome.. Right?! (or, should we say.. Byron Bay)
And staying within the boho theme, Shannon wore the most gorgeous Spell gown, the “canyon moon” + the spell “duster” over the top. Her hair worn half up, half down and entwined with gorgeous white flowers.
The sun sunk and left burnt orange in the sky, their love flourished before us. They walked along the oceans edge holding hands; they played in the orange glow surrounded by fields of long grass. They walked the train tacks and watch the sun go down.
They also invested in videography, and had the whole thing filmed by our film crew, Yellowbull weddings.
Belongil Beach is the beach you can see to the left of you if you are standing at Main Beach, it’s about 3 minutes from the heart of Byron Bay, but more quiet. It’s tucked away in it’s own little spot, and mostly locals traffic this beach.
From this point you have an incredible view of the sweeping ocean that dips into the centre of Byron and wraps around the coastline, which meets the most easterly point of Australia AKA The Iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse headland sticking out! It’s quite the sight + amazing for photos!
We find this beach quiet and chilled. If we are lucky we get to pat all the cute dogs that come to swim too.
