Bethany and Shaun came to us wanting to elope, they had planned a wedding for October 2019 and were 70% underway with it until they both realised they didn’t actually want a massive wedding! And with a new bub on the way it was going to make things a little trickier. So they chose to Elope with our Luxe Elopements Team at Crams Farm.
We completely melted at Bethany and Shaun’s love story – First meeting at work and unknowingly starting the spark of something bigger than they ever could have imagined. They have been inseparable ever since and quote “crazy in love”.
We completely fell into that love bubble with them as we made our way through the hills surrounding Murwillumbah. The roads were twisty and storm clouds had started rolling in as we arrived at the stunning Crams Dam Farm. We love Crams Farm for the privacy and incredible natural beauty that surrounds it; there is a special silence that settles at this place. A wash a calm comes when you step out into the pine trees and look out over the lake.
It was just the two (three) of them – no guests, no music, just the sweet sound of nature around us as they held hands. The rain kept at bay and we could see Mount Warning in the distance with low-lying clouds kissing its peak.
It was romantic, it was intimate, and it was real. The love between Bethany and Shaun could have ignited the entire reserve around us, but instead they put a ring upon one another’s hands and said, “I do”.
How did you meet?
We were both nurses at the same hospital and would occasionally run into each other, then Bethany added Shaun on Facebook. Shaun tried multiple times to meet up but Bethany always found an excuse until one day she gave in. Neither of us knew what we were getting into, we definitely didn’t think we would be where we are today. But it didn’t take long for us to be hanging out every minute we had free. And before we knew it, we were crazy in love and that just grows stronger everyday.
Tell me about your first date!! Who asked who and how did it go? Where was it?
We ordered pizza and sat on top of one mile beach hill, talking for hours! Now whenever we have something to celebrate, we always order pizza haha. Bethany asked Shaun, and it was amazing. It was so relaxing.
What does the commitment of marriage mean to you?
Our commitment to each other is already amazing, we believe marriage will bring us that bit closer and will allow us to all have the same last name as our family grows. It shows our commitment that we want to spend the rest of our lives by each other’s side.
